Ember Bath House II

Ember Bath House features a custom-designed Hammam room, ice plunge, warm magnesium bath, Finnish Cedar and Hinoki saunas, Onsen pools – both cold and warm. From the moment visitors enter, light, shadow, and hand-selected rocks guide a sensorial journey that evokes a sense of grounding and belonging. A defining feature, the Japanese-inspired bonsai atrium, grounds the Hinoki Sauna spatially encouraging quiet contemplation and connection to the present. Ember Bath House invokes a transportive and immersive experience, a space designed to restore stillness and connection in a fast-paced world. Drawing inspiration from the rituals of Japanese Onsens, Turkish Hammams and Finnish Sauna traditions, translated into an Australian design context. A tribute to shadow, the depth and tactility of the interior materiality and lighting holds space for going inward, this is the quietly powerful human connection With Embers design. Evolving around a series Of monolithic push-and-pull elements, embracing imperfection and contrast. The design explores intentional varying wall heights, layered cut-outs, and insertions into joinery to create rhythm, discovery and depth throughout the space, with contrasting reclaimed timbers, ancient techniques crafted in details, reinforcing Embers individuality as a wellness design destination.
